Swiss private bank Julius Baer has appointed Serena Wong as its senior relationship manager, based in Zurich, reporting to Christian Cappelli, head of Asia Switzerland.
Wong, who has over two decades of experience in the financial industry, brings to the bank, it shares, “invaluable knowledge and expertise in the global wealth management sector from working in various financial hubs, including New York, Paris and Singapore”.
She comes to the bank from Kamet Capital Partners in Singapore, after having previously worked at JP Morgan Private Bank, the Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC and French bank Société Générale.
Julius Baer is the second-largest bank in Switzerland by market capitalization, and considers Asia as it second home market, in which a quarter of the bank’s total assets under management and global workforce are based.
“This appointment reaffirms our steadfast commitment to serving the Asia region from Zurich and investing in top-tier talent to drive our business growth,” Cappelli notes. “With her extensive industry expertise and deep regional knowledge, we are well-positioned to provide best-in-class service to our clients.”
