StanChart teams up with LSEG to roll out AI-driven FX insights
Industry-first solution delivers market insights from the bank’s global chief investment office in video format
The Asset   6 Feb 2025

Standard Chartered has launched the Wealth Management FX Intelligent Expert, a video column that leverages advanced artificial intelligence technology in collaboration with the London Stock Exchange Group ( LSEG ) to deliver easily digestible FX market insights directly to clients.

Building on insights drawn from the Daily Market Navigator – an authoritative market publication produced by Standard Chartered’s Global Chief Investment Office – the industry-first solution applies AI-driven summaries, translates the material where necessary, and automatically converts the summarized insights into an engaging one-minute video with voiceover and relevant visuals.

It was introduced to retail clients in mainland China in December 2024, and plans are now in place to roll out the service in the coming months in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

Foreign exchange investments are a crucial component of diversified asset allocation, yet many investors struggle to stay abreast of the rapidly changing market. The Wealth Management FX Intelligent Expert aims to overcome this challenge by providing faster time to market, scalability, and cost efficiency, Standard Chartered says.

Clients benefit from an improved experience through dynamic, on-demand video updates that are both interactive and accessible, enabling them to understand crucial market movements and potential trade opportunities more easily.

Standard Chartered says this communication platform positions the bank at the forefront of the banking industry’s adoption of new technologies that further enhance client advisory services, helping clients make more informed decisions and harness opportunities in the FX space.

“By transforming our Global Chief Investment Office’s expert views into easily digestible, high-quality videos, we offer our clients access to timely market insights wherever they are, reinforcing our commitment to technological innovation and personalized wealth solutions that meet evolving needs,” says Samir Subberwal, global head, wealth solutions, deposits and mortgages, and chief client officer at Standard Chartered.

Sneha Manohar, head of strategic accounts, Asia-Pacific, at LSEG, adds: “Our technological solutions help refine complex FX market data into accessible video content, empowering investors to make well-informed decisions in an increasingly dynamic environment. This partnership signals an exciting shift in how financial institutions can engage with clients around the globe.”
