ABC Impact, an impact investment firm backed by Temasek Trust, the philanthropic unit of Singapore wealth fund Temasek, has invested in Innovafeed, a Paris-based producer of sustainable animal feed and plant nutrition ingredients from insects. Issuance of G3 bonds in Asia, outside of Japan and Australia, dropped by 43.9% in the first nine months of 2022 to US$186.95 billion, compared with US$333.03 billion in the corresponding period of 2021. This was the lowest nine-month volume since January-September 2016 when the issuance amounted to US$176.13 billion as the market continued to be buffeted by volatility on the back of rising interest rates and higher inflation.

Retirement assets in Asia ex-Japan saw a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.8% between 2017 and 2021, reaching total investable assets of US$4.6 trillion in 2021, a new report finds. Meanwhile, the percentage of assets outsourced to managers grew to 36.8% in 2021, from 30.6% in 2017, mainly driven by greater overseas exposure, Cerulli Associates says in its latest report, Asian Retirement Markets 2022: Weaving Stable Safety Nets.

The Asian Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles (ANREV) has released its latest study on fee and cost structures of non-listed real estate funds in Asia-Pacific, as part of its efforts to enhance transparency on fees for investors. According to the study, the average total global expense ratio (TGER) for non-listed real estate funds in the region stands at 1.12%, with notable variations across various vehicle characteristics such as vehicle style, structure or size.

The Ukraine crisis, coupled with stagflation fears, saw investors turn to the yellow metal as well as gold exchange-traded funds to add a defensive layer to their portfolios.
