China’s Zhou Liu Fu Jewellery ( 06168 ) has raised HK$1.29 billion ( US$164.33 million ) in its Hong Kong initial public offering, the latest mainland company to list in one of Asia’s most vibrant stock markets this year.
The shares opened at HK$26.7, up 11.25% from their listing price of HK$24, on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on Thursday ( June 26 ). The stock closed 25% higher at HK$30.
The company’s successful listing was its fifth attempt after a lapsed application in Hong Kong and three failures in the mainland.
China International Capital Corporation Hong Kong Securities Limited and China Securities ( International ) Corporate Finance Company Limited acted as the joint sponsors of the IPO, with Paul Hastings as legal adviser.
