Ruhil Bairagi

HSBC Life Singapore has appointed Ruhil Bairagi as chief operating officer, effective August 11.

Reporting to chief executive officer Harpreet Bindra, Bairagi will be responsible for leading operations and transformation across HSBC Life Singapore’s life, health, and general insurance portfolios, building a future-ready operating model that continues to deliver best-in-class customer experience at scale.

Bairagi was most recently global head of insurance operations and business management for HSBC, based in Hong Kong. He brings more than two decades of international experience across life, health, and general insurance, spanning operational transformation, contact centre management, and digital enablement. Prior to joining HSBC in 2019, he held senior roles with leading life and health insurance organizations in the Middle East.

Bairagi’s appointment supports HSBC Life’s ambition to become Singapore’s preferred insurer of choice, underscoring HSBC’s broader ambition to be a leading wealth manager in Singapore, the firm says.
