The global wealth management brand of Crédit Agricole Group, Indosuez Wealth Management in Asia ( Indosuez ), has appointed Chua See Piu as its head of North Asia market, reporting to Laurent Proutière, CEO for Asia.
With over two decades of experience in private banking and investment advisory, Chua brings deep expertise in managing ultra-high-net-worth and family office clients across Asia.
Based in Singapore, he will oversee Indosuez’s North Asia region, driving business growth across key markets, including China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Over the course of his career, Chua has held key roles in international banks in wealth management and has extensive experience handling major cross-border transactions for the China market.
Before joining Indosuez, Chua was managing director and market leader at BNP Paribas Wealth Management, where, the wealth management firm says, he achieved notable growth in assets under management and revenue. Prior to Indosuez, he held leadership positions at Deutsche Bank Wealth Management, J.P. Morgan, Citi Private Bank and Nomura.
Throughout his career, Chua has provided strategic advice to clients across North Asia and Southeast Asia, specializing in complex investment, credit and capital markets solutions.
This appointment follows Indosuez’s earlier announcement of Phonda Chan joining as deputy chief executive of Indosuez’s Hong Kong branch, reporting to Hong Kong CEO Michaël Kofman. Together, the two appointments, the company states, reflects its “continued commitment to strengthening its leadership and reinforcing its ability to deliver comprehensive, client-focused wealth management solutions across the region”.
Proutière add: “[Chua’s] extensive market experience and strong client relationships strengthen our leadership in North Asia and reinforce our commitment to growth in this critical region.”
